How The Formula Works? Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and filler treatments, this filler stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin. As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid. The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that this particular filler is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue. Does It Hurt? ​ Don’t worry: these procedures aren’t especially painful. Like any injection, there’s a small sting when the needle pierces the skin, but this sensation is typically short and not too intense. Any pain is confined to the injection site and is over before you know it. You may also experience mild discomfort in the 24 hours following the treatment as a result of swelling, but there is no ongoing discomfort or pain.
What Risks Are Associated With Bio-Remodelling Injections? Bio-remodelling has a good safety profile that is consistent with other injectables. However, no treatment is without risk, and it is important to weigh the pros and cons of any treatment before proceeding. Some patients experience side effects such as swelling, redness, bruising or tenderness around the injection sites. The most common side effect is localised swelling or lumpiness that resembles mosquito bites. This typically resolves in approximately six to eight hours on the face and 24 to 48 hours on the neck. Serious adverse events, such as vascular occlusion, have not been reported.
How many sessions are needed for Bio-Remodelling? The procedure requires two to three sessions with a four week interval between them. Treatment Expectations Injectable implant products are long lasting but not permanent. Most people see the best results with a series of two bioremodelling treatments spaced one month apart. However, everyone responds differently to treatment, and some people may need more or fewer sessions to achieve their goals. Once you have attained your desired results, you may wish to return for treatment every six months (or as advised by your provider) to sustain them. The duration of your results will depend on several factors, including the condition of your skin, your age and your lifestyle. Post Treatment Care
Immediately after treatment there may be a slight redness, mild swelling, tenderness or an itching sensation or bruising in the treated area. It is normal to feel ‘firmness’ in the treated area for the first few days; over time the area will soften.
This is a normal result of the injection and generally disappears in a few days. If symptoms persist or other reactions occur please contact your practitioner.
